The ABA is a men’s professional basketball league initially formed in partnership with the NBA. It is America’s largest pro league with over 180 teams in the US and now with an ABA Mexico league. ABA teams provide excellent opportunities for players seeking to advance their professional careers. Notable ABA players of the past include Rick Barry, Moses Malone, Dr J (Julius Irving), George Gervin and many others. The ABA season consists of 20 games and runs from November through April (including playoffs).

ABOUT OUR TEAM
The Buffalo Extreme were formed in 2023 by XGEN Elite, joining the professional basketball league known as the American Basketball Association starting with the 2023-24 season. In its first two seasons, the Extreme quickly rose the ranks of the ABA to become one of the league’s best teams. With a combined 46-4 record over it’s first two seasons, the Extreme made it to the Final Four in April 2025. The team has now added more pieces that it believes will take them all the way to the national championship this season.
