BUFFALO EXTREME RE-SIGNS CORE OF TEAM FOR THE 2025-26 SEASON
Nine Players Returning From Last Season’s Final Four Run
The Buffalo Extreme of the American Basketball Association (ABA) is pleased to announce the re-signing and return of nine of its players for the 2025-26 season. After making the Final Four last season in only its second year, the Extreme moved quickly to keep its core intact for the upcoming season.
Leading the way is Javon McCrae, an Extreme OG. As the University of Buffalo’s all-time leading scorer, Javon brings incredible power and dominance to the team and returns after averaging 16 points and 9 rebounds over the past two seasons. Joining McCrea is another Extreme original, Marcus Feagin, who is dominant on the boards, having led the entire ABA in rebounds over the past 2 seasons. Leading scorer from last season, and ABA All Star, Quran DuBois also returns with his 21 points per game.
Returning players from the Rochester area, John Ivy and Rodney Hawkins, will help the Extreme in all facets of the game. Both are returning after a 2024-25 season as ABA All Stars. Ivy brings his 18 points and 7 assist per game, while Hawkins is a consistent double-double guy, averaging 16 points and 12 rebounds last season.
The Extreme have also re-signed 6’9” power forward Jon Park (11 points, 9 rebounds per game), consummate professional Alex Golda (6 rebounds per game), defensive specialist Lovell Smith (5 steals per game), and all-around fan favorite and high-flying little man Aaron “Sticks” Jones who will certainly light up the crowd again this season.
“By bringing our core group of guys back, it means we are starting from a solid foundation, and all of these guys have shown great leadership since I have arrived” said Head Coach Ryan Gallo, “it will hopefully make this coming season a special one that we will all remember, as we pursue bringing a national championship to Western New York..”
