XGEN Elite, WNY’s premier sports tournament and events organization, is proud to announce that they are bringing professional basketball back to the WNY area. XGEN has purchased the exclusive rights to bring an American Basketball Association (ABA) team to Buffalo, with an inaugural season slated for this November 2023. The team, dubbed “The Buffalo eXtreme”, will play as a member of the ABA’s Northeast Region.

ABOUT THE ABA
The ABA is a men’s professional basketball league initially formed in partnership with the NBA. It is America’s largest pro league with over 180 teams in the US and now with an ABA Mexico league. ABA teams provide excellent opportunities for players seeking to advance their professional careers. Notable ABA players of the past include Rick Barry, Moses Malone, Dr J (Julius Irving), George Gervin and many others. The ABA season consists of 20 games and runs from November through April (including playoffs).
